Stewie was found as a stray in the Beloit,WI area by a kind and caring young girl who brought him home to her mom and grandma. Unfortunately they could not keep him and called IBR.
He was in typical shape for a dog that's been lost for awhile. He needs to put on at least 10-lbs and he was not neutered. Upon checking him over, I noticed his ears had some scabbing and most of the hair is missing. We think this is either due to possible frostbite or a previous infection. He has since been checked out by the vet and there is no infection now. I expect the hair to grow back just fine.
It took awhile for Stewie to get used to being in the house. He was afraid of the usual things like wood floors that seemed slippery to him. He is a very sweet dog and gets along with my other 6 dogs and 2 cats. Another good habit he has is NOT jumping up. He's just a really good boy.
We're guessing his age to be between 1-2 years old. He still loves to play and is a great fetcher. Also he rides in the car like a champ. Very quiet. Stewie should be ready to go to his forever home soon. Once he fills out he's going to be one beautiful pointer boy!!

Stewie, A Real Family Guy!
Welcome to my world
What's the magic word to get through Stewie? It's okay. You don't have to be afraid of me just because I'm bigger.
He's already started to point at the birds.
He's just a really good boy. We've been to the dog park and like all good pointers he loves to run and run and run!
Comfy seat for watching Animal Planet. He did not relax for quite some time but now he is fitting right in making good use of our big overstuffed chair and the bed.He loves to watch the horses when he's outside, but he doesn't try to chase them.
Just need a little weight, but I'm still healthy.
